Ice Skating - Seasonal

Queer Sport Ice Skating has been held since 2021.

Location?
Skating takes place seasonally during the Zagreb Advent on King Tomislav Square (map) and after the Advent ends, at the Šalata Sports and Recreation Center (map), as part of the Video-Disco Ice Skating program at Šalata.

Schedule?
Ice skating takes place from December to February. The ice-skating schedule is arranged on a weekly basis, depending on the participants' preferences and availability. It usually takes place after business hours (between 5 and 7 PM) during the week. The session is canceled in case of bad weather, so it is mandatory to announce your attendance in the WhatsApp group.

Who?
Everyone is welcome regardless of gender, age, skating ability, or any other difference. You can also bring someone who is straight, provided they are LGBTIQ+ friendly.
Atmosphere?Queer Sport Ice Skating is primarily a recreational sport activity that also includes a social component and meeting new people.

What to bring?
You don't need to have your own skates, you can rent them at the rinks. To rent skates, you will need a form of ID (ID card, driver's license, health insurance card, pass), which you will get back at the end of the session when you return the skates. It is also a good idea to bring hat, scarf and gloves, and to dress warmly.

Cost?
Participation in the Queer Sport Ice Skating is free. You only pay for rink admission and ice-skates rental, if you don't have your own.
