Panel discussion “Queer Sport - Visibility and Community”
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, a panel discussion titled “Queer Sport - Visibility and Community” was held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, organized by Queer Sport and the AUT Queer Initiative.
At the panel, Mateo Popov, Naomi Kombol and Goran Molnar shared their experiences of participating in queer sports training sessions and tournaments and also spoke about their experiences with physical education in school and in mainstream sports. The panel also discussed how to make sports activities safe and enjoyable for everyone, especially for transgender, intersex, and gender-variant people. The moderators were Josip Jagić and Boris Vrdoljak.
